ABOUT WEST CHILTINGTON AND THAKEHAM CC
We are an ambitious club based in an attractive village location in West Sussex. The club runs three league men's sides, a Women's T20 side, a Sunday Friendly XI plus a large colts' section for boys and girls starting at Under 5 (Reception at school). Our pavilion and ground are fully accessible to wheelchairs and we are a Sussex Focus club with Clubmark. If you would like to join us or have an enquiry, please click on Contact Us below.
Boys and girls, men and women. Ages 5 through to 75. Friendly and competitive cricket. We have options to suit every age, gender and ability. Whether you want to play Saturday cricket for one of our league sides or friendly cricket on a Sunday. Our competitive teams play in the Sussex County League, the largest organised cricket league in the world! But that is just one part of the wide range of cricket we offer.
WHERE WE PLAY
We're fortunate enough to have two glorious grounds each with brand new pavilions. Our main ground in West Chiltington has fantastic views and state of the art modern facilities, the pavilion was built in 2014. Our brand new second ground in Thakeham was built in 2018 as part of the Abingworth housing development there and provides the club with a permanent second base for Third XI, junior and selected friendly fixtures. The pavilion at Abingworth is modern but classically designed.
WHO ARE WE?
We are a welcoming family run cricket club who prides itself on providing an inclusive, fun, safe and sociable environment for children and adults alike. Our committee and senior members are committed to making West Chiltington and Thakeham Cricket Club the best it can be.
We've been around for some time, since 1921 actually, but we've only been known as West Chiltington and Thakeham Cricket Club since 2000. A lot has happened in the years that followed our merger and we've come a long way from the two small village cricket clubs we started life out as.
